Jeanne Montrese
Jeanne Montrese serves as a board Member of Project Meridian Foundation.
Ms. Montrese has worked for the Federal Government for 30 years in several agencies within the Department of Justice and currently works as a Senior Program Analyst with the Department of Defense. In her Government career she has held various positions within the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Attorney’s Office in Minnesota and at the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) and the Justice Management Division (JMD) in Washington, DC.
Jeanne was raised in Western New York, but spent most of her adult life in Upper Midwest prior to relocating to the Washington DC Metro area on a detail with EOUSA. When the detail ended she was selected for a permanent position as Management Analyst writing, revising and analyzing financial litigation policies/procedures and training the financial litigation staff in the various USAOs across the country. Later she supervised all the non-attorney personnel in the Office of the Director and managed the day-to-day operations as the Chief in the Communications Center.
When she transferred to the JMD she hired private attorneys nationwide to litigate and collect federal debts on behalf of the United States Government. While in this position she did procurement, contract administration, administered audits/evaluations and trained personnel.
Ms. Montrese has taught organization/time management, financial litigation and asset investigations at the Department of Justice, National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC. She has received training at Minneapolis Community College, the Western Management Development Center, the USDA Graduate School and the Department of Justice, Office of Legal Education.
She has a lifelong commitment of working with youth and young adults. She has been a foster care parent, a manager at Bernadette’s Teen Club in the Uptown & Downtown YWCA, coordinator for teen activities and a mentor at Saint Joseph’s Home for Children and a volunteer and a current member of the Board of Directors at the Circle of Discipline, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN.
