Our Mission Statement

Project Meridian Foundation works to assist International, Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies by offering education and awareness training so that they may identify and recover victims of Human Trafficking and repatriate those who are kidnapped and exploited by Human Traffickers.

As well as, working with national and international agencies, Project Meridian Foundation (PMF) strives to bring awareness to our most vulnerable youth between the ages 11 and 17 and educating University students. PMF provides our country's leaders, civic groups and other organizations with factual and relevant information empowering them to take action against Human and Sex Trafficking.

Currently, Project Meridian Foundation is preparing for the launch of Operation Safe House; an initiative to provide the victims of Human and Sex Trafficking with shelter, healthcare, education and vocational training opportunities so they can resume a normal life.

PMF's strategy is to combat and prevent Human Trafficking and to rescue and rehabilitate victims by introducing a new and positive change in their lives. We will not give up! We will be the voice for the children whose voices cry out but go unheard.

We will continue to win the battle that is currently still in darkness, by rescuing and rebuilding powerless precious children and young women's lives! "If we save one life at a time; it is all worth it".

Help us to put a stop to Human and Sex Trafficking and restore its victims' lives!

PROJECT MERIDIAN FOUNDATION CODE OF ETHICS

The following general principles apply to every officer, director, and employee of the Project Meridian Foundation (PMF) regardless of work location. Where a situation is not covered by the policies and procedures set forth in existing PMF handbooks, officers, directors, and employees shall apply these principles in determining whether their conduct is proper. In certain cases arising under this Code of Ethics, circumstances may exist which dictate that PMF’s Board of Directors and/or Senior Management grant an exception to the general policy. Unless such exception has been granted, however, all officers, directors, and employees shall conduct themselves in accordance with these principles.

PMF officers, directors and employees shall respect the laws of the jurisdictions within which the organization has offices.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall not use their positions with PMF for private gain. It is prohibited for an officer, director, or employee of PMF to seek or conduct a PMF mission for his own private purposes or for the private purposes of another.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall not engage in financial transactions using non-public PMF information nor allow the improper use of non-public information to further their own private interests or those of another, whether through advice or recommendation, or by knowing unauthorized disclosures.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall not use confidential or proprietary information gained in the course of employment for or service on behalf of PMF for private gain.

PMF officers, directors and employees shall maintain confidentiality of political information gained through PMF project work and not disclose it to other political organizations working within a country program.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall act impartially in carrying out their functions on behalf of PMF and, in carrying out those functions, shall not give preferential treatment to further any private interest.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall refrain from engaging in personal or public activities that conflict with their duties as PMF officers, directors, and employees. Personal activities shall not be conducted on PMF premises or with the use of PMF property.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall not accept any gratuity, gift, or favor that might impair or appear to influence their actions as officers, directors, or employees of PMF.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall make no unauthorized commitments or promises of any kind purporting to bind PMF.

PMF officers, directors and employees shall follow all hiring, contracting, travel and purchasing policies and procedures as stated in PMF Handbook(s). Hiring, contracting of services and purchasing shall be conducted with open competition and special attention given to ensuring there is full disclosure with regard to vendor relationships and no personal gain for PMF personnel. Wherever possible, purchasing and travel arrangements should be made far enough in advance to take advantage of any advance discounts.

PMF officers, directors, and employees who plan to conduct private business while traveling on an PMF mission must disclose such plans to the Regional or Department Director and PMF’s President in advance of the trip to ensure there is no inherent conflict of interest. If a trip is taken for the dual purpose of PMF and private business, transportation, meal, and lodging expenses shall be fairly apportioned between the two business ends conducted so that only those expenses attributable to PMF business are paid for from PMF funds.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall protect and conserve PMF property and funds and shall not use such property or funds for other than authorized PMF activities.

No PMF officer, director, or employee may claim payment or accept funds from PMF for any expense for which he has received reimbursement from any other source.

No PMF officer, director, or employee may use any funds furnished to defray ordinary and necessary expenses incurred in connection with an PMF mission for any purpose other than the purpose for which such funds are furnished.

Any allowance for expenses for an PMF mission not actually used for expenses incurred in connection with that mission shall be returned to PMF promptly upon return from the mission.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that they are violating these ethical standards. Whether particular circumstances create an appearance that these standards have been violated shall be determined from the perspective of a reasonable person with knowledge of the relevant facts.

PMF officers, directors, and employees shall disclose to PMF’s President any circumstances that could be construed as a conflict of interest and should ensure that such conflict does not compromise the interest of PMF. A violation of this Code of Ethics may be cause for appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, by the Executive Committee of the Board.

PMF directors shall recuse themselves from voting on any question properly before the Board in which that director has an actual or apparent pecuniary or personal interest which a reasonable observer could construe as presenting a conflict with the exercise of his or her impartial judgment as a member of the Board.
