Letter from our Founder

Dear Colleague:

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your interest in our Foundation and our cause. Although few Americans are cognizant of it, Human Trafficking has quietly, but profoundly become a dire threat to the security and sanctity of our nation. There is a common misperception that the trafficking of human beings for sexual exploitation and human labor occurs only in other countries; in fact, ignorance and apathy have allowed America to become one of the world’s largest importers in this trade. The facts are at once astonishing and devastating. Research has shown that Human Trafficking brings nearly 4 million children and young women into the global sex trade every year, of which 1 million American children in the United States between the ages of 11-17 have been victimized and sex trafficked across city, county, and state lines. With so much emphasis on the Global War on Terror today, it is time that we focused more on Human Trafficking as much as we do on Drugs and Weapons trading. Along with drugs and weapons, Human Trafficking is one of the three biggest funding sources of terrorism worldwide. While this may seem unfathomable, our negligence has enabled organized crime, gangs, and sexual predators to proliferate within our borders. The time has come to confront this threat.

At Project Meridian Foundation, we refuse to accept this inaction. We work to assist International, Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies to identify and recover victims of Human Trafficking and rehabilitate and reintegrate those who have been kidnapped and exploited. We also seek to educate our most vulnerable youth, those between the ages of 11 and 17, and educate university students about this criminal enterprise. Currently, Project Meridian Foundation is preparing for the launch of Operation Safe House; an initiative to provide the victims of Human and Sex Trafficking with proper facilities for healthcare, education and vocational training opportunities so they can resume a normal life. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Ernie Allen, President/CEO and Project Meridian Foundation, there are currently no such sufficient facilities in the United States to securely rehabilitate sex trafficking victims. We intend to change this.

PMF's strategy is combating Human Trafficking to prevent, rescue and restore victims by introducing a new and positive change in their lives. We will not give up! We will be the voice for the children whose voices cry out but go unheard.

Be the voice. Get involved today partner with us on combating this crime against our children! " If we can save one life at a time, it is all worth it "

Yours Truly,
Nathan Wilson
