Maureen is a former Washington Redskins Cheerleader from the 1970s. Maureen has been married for 32 years to Attorney General, Robert F. McDonnell of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Maureen McDonnell has had over 26 years experience in the marketing of nutritional healthcare and consumer products. As president of her own small company for the past 12 years, Nu U International, Maureen has learned from some of the nations top healthcare providers how nutritional supplementation can improve health.

Mrs. McDonnell began her career working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, and the Department of Defense before beginning her business career. She has completed significant course work and has attended numerous health seminars throughout the United States.
They have 5 children, ages 17-27. Maureen is active in the community, and in various church and political activities.
